Light Blue Holographic Heart Earrings
Add a little rainbow to your earrings! These heart earrings feature a holographic surface, which gives them a rainbow or oil slick effect. This is done by using diffraction grating paper to make the molds. In person, you can see lots of tiny ridges on the surface of the earrings, which give the front of the earrings a soft matte texture. These ridges split light (through diffraction), which makes it split into all the colors of the rainbow! Cool, huh?
These transparent blue hearts measure 1.5”W by 2.125”L and hand from sterling silver-plated huggie hoops.
While the holographic effect is easy to see in sunlight or bright artificial light, it is quite subtle in normal lighting conditions. This item is handmade so there may be small imperfections, but nothing that detracts from the overall piece. Also, resin should be stored away from direct sunlight (otherwise it may yellow over time).
